Costume Analysis

Otis From Devil's Rejects

The man is wearing a sleeve less top which exposes his arms which can intimidate his opponent in any situation unless the other person is bigger then he has a big problem, by his exposed  arms the audience can acknowledge that he is a hard man that has muscular.
His top also has blood stains which has faded so this indicates that in the last 24 hours he has been in contact with someone that has shed by someone he had killed and the blood could been the back splatter from his attack on some one with a close range weapon or he has been injured earlier in the film, his top looks like he has been wearing this top for a little while as you can tell by the sweat marks under his arms. The colour of the top which is light grey makes the blood stand out more as blood a darker colour to grey, the top also relates to the background as it is a light colour and where he is placed looks like he belongs there so this could mean that he is from around this area but with his belt it looks like a cop one from the city as it can hold guns. The belt looks like it is made from leather which can tell us that he could of made it as it looks like he is from a farm in the south west, but he also could be from the city as an undercover cop to investigating.
