Ideas for The Location of The Horror Opening Sequence

Location Ideas 

The location is a very important part to the film as we need a place to set the atmosphere to the audience we want the audience to have shivers and to fear this place when they see it through out the film. The atmosphere is very important at the start of a film as it sets the feeling through out the film. We would like it to be out in an open space so when the victim escapes the clutches of the killer she is lost as she is discombobulated and then is killed later on when she if fount by the killer as he knows there is no escape. 

So I started to watch some horror films, the ones that i watched they where set in different places e.g. Saw the saw series has a different location in each film. Saw 1 was set in a mock up bath room, Saw 2 was set in a house, Saw 3 was set in a warehouse same with 4 and 5 but 6,7 are set around the city that the whole place is based around but the locations of the films are enclosed with houses which is what we don't want.

The next film was The Descent this film has a great location as it is set in the woods in a cave, cave is a great place to go as the lighting wouldn't be hard to control if we only used a touch also if the victim did get out the cave then she would be lost in the wood which is a great idea but there is only on problem there is not a cave around Wisbech.

The last film i watched was The Shining, the location was a great idea with a hotel in the middle of a mounting  where if you was to go out you would freeze to death, if you stayed out to long with no protection to the freezing temperature plus where would you go you are miles away from civilization so there is no where to go but to stay in the hotel.

 I like this idea so i thought what about if  it was on a farm as some farms are in the middle of know where and when its at night then you would not be able to know where you are plus the feeling of being in a barn where the killer kills his animals is just not nice especially with that's where he had killed other victims. The location is now set and its a good thing i know a person who has a farm that we can use.
