Opening Titles Fonts

Opening Titles Fonts

SE7EN
The Title of Se7en there is a clash of white and black which could mean that someone that is pure is being over taken by someone/something that is a dark/bad person, the colour can also show that an evil force is trying to take over good by the way that the word Se7en has got patches of black on it. The fount in the film makes it standout whits it being white anf it flickers to make it standout whitch could teel us as the audience that the film could be jumpy so it could scear us when there is a quiet part in the film, with the opening title sequence it goes well as the opening sequence is shot in a dark room whilst someone is makeing a book out of anything around the room.

THE CONJURING
The title of The Conjuring is really a great way to show the title of the film this can show the audience that it will be set back in the time by the way it flickers other like an old projector when you had to put a overlay on to project on the board. I like how the white stands out really well on the black back ground and it is small enough for you to be able to read it.

First Storyboard By Louis

Story Board #1

This is going to be the first scene of the film, the scene will show the Farmer dragging the Woman his victim to his barn that will be in the background as the camera will be focused on the Farmer and the Woman.

This shot shows the Farmer turning on the lights in the barn, the camera will be focused on the switch when the Farmers hand will come in the shot and flick the switch,.
The Woman has been tied up to a chair as shown in the image this is where the Farmer has tied her up and now walking off to the table where he puts his tools in size order. The camera will be focused on the Woman whilst the Farmer is walking towards the camera.
The tools are all layd out on the table ready to be used at any time when necessary, the camera will be shot from above his shoulder looking down at the tools.
The Farmer is hovering his hand out over the tools deciding what one to use, the camera will be either following his had or it will be position in one place then have the Farmers hand come in from the left hand side of the camera over the tools whilst wiggling his fingers.
He notices that one of them is not in the right place and puts it back down then picks it up again to use. the camera will be in the same position as last time.
The Farmer has turned around with the tool that he is going to use on the woman. the camera will be behind the Farmer showing the knife near the Woman's head to show that she will be killed. There will be dialogue exchanged between them.
This is the scene of them talking, the camera will be changing between them with reverse shots from both characters.

The Farmer is taking the rope off her hands her as she had agreed to be with him, the camera will be focused on the rope and the Farmer untying the Woman.

The Woman shown has jumped for the knife that the Farmer had dropped, the camera will be behind the woman and you will see her jump for the knife.

The Woman has stabbed the Farmer and is making a run for it, the camera will be filming the Farmer in the for ground whilst the Woman is running to the door in the back ground.
The Woman opens the door to freedom and runs off, the camera will be shooting this in a wide shot to get the barn in, when she opens the door you will see the Farmer on the floor in pain. She will open the door and run towards the camera.
Woman running, the camera will pan out whilst she runs or we might have a tracking shot of the Woman running.
The Woman in this shot turns back to see the barn light still on the camera will be focused on the Woman as she turns around slowly to see the light.
The Farmer has now got an axe and limps after her, he also turns off the light. The camera will be filming him getting up with the axe with then a close up on his moth speaking a nursery rhyme, half way through whilst he is speaking we will see him limp away after the Woman.
The Farmer limping along after his victim, This will be short as a full body shot to show he is strong and powerful and someone to not mess around with making him look big and powerful.
The Woman has stopped running and looks around for help or a way out, the camera will be eye level and you will be able to hear her breath.
The Farmer is using a touch to see where the Woman is to kill her, The camera will show the Farmer searching for the Woman.
The Woman has fallen over a rock in this scene and struggles to get to her feet whilst the Farmer gets closer and closer, the camera will see the Woman trying to get up then to the Farmer limping over her body.
This is the end scene where the Farmer swings his axe down to her head cutting it into two half's, The camera will be placed on the ground looking up from the Woman's perspective the axe stops near the camera as that's when it blanks out to a black screen to the name of the film.

Costume Analysis

Costume Analysis

Otis From Devil's Rejects

The man is wearing a sleeve less top which exposes his arms which can intimidate his opponent in any situation unless the other person is bigger then he has a big problem, by his exposed  arms the audience can acknowledge that he is a hard man that has muscular.
His top also has blood stains which has faded so this indicates that in the last 24 hours he has been in contact with someone that has shed by someone he had killed and the blood could been the back splatter from his attack on some one with a close range weapon or he has been injured earlier in the film, his top looks like he has been wearing this top for a little while as you can tell by the sweat marks under his arms. The colour of the top which is light grey makes the blood stand out more as blood a darker colour to grey, the top also relates to the background as it is a light colour and where he is placed looks like he belongs there so this could mean that he is from around this area but with his belt it looks like a cop one from the city as it can hold guns. The belt looks like it is made from leather which can tell us that he could of made it as it looks like he is from a farm in the south west, but he also could be from the city as an undercover cop to investigating.

Analysis Of Props

The Shining
Prop: Jack’s Axe

The axe from The Shining is a sinister weapon as is normally used to chop up wood into smaller pieces to be used in a fire burner, with the knowledge that the axe is dangerous then we know its going to hurt when you are going to be hit with this object as we can see from the picture above.
The axe is used in this film as the main weapon as it is an old axe that has been used well in its life by the dull marks on the long handle where other people have used this.

The axe creates tension by the way it is very long so it has a long reach so we know that it can get a victim if they are starting to run away as if he had used a small axe then it wouldn't be as scary as it is small but having the axe being longer, the character can build tension by his slowly swinging it above his head to come down really fast and hard we know its going to be hard as it is a 2 handed weapon to get the full use of the axe.

we are going to be using an axe in our opening sequence as it will be used a lot as it is on a farm so the farmer will have to chop up wood on a nearly day to a day to day bases .

Saw 4
Prop: Chair and Rope

In this scene you can see a guy hanging and a guy that has been tied to a chair , the guy that i tied to an ordinary chair that has been used as a restraining device as he can't move because he has also been tied down with rope that is normally used to things together but not humans so this is why it is effective as robe has been used to maked in to noose’s and they were designed to kill someone so rope is a very restraining if you are tied to something like a chair.
